About me

It all began at age 4 with the magic of my first puppet and has since been a lifetime filled with awe and wonder for this infinite art form. I have never given up that child-like fascination and it still has the power to astound to this day.

I make puppets of all types from foam/fleece or knitted wool hand puppets, also finger puppets, rod, shadow or tabletop puppets. I use all types of materials such as foam, fleece, worbla, papier mâché, clay, wood, the possibilities are endless!

I am a professionally trained floral designer since 2001 with many unusual works of floral art for print and gallery. My favourites were the ones I created for Matt Barnes a very talented celebrity photographer for his art pieces.

I also designed super crafts for a very special craft show called Super Mighty Makers for TVOkids.  I was the purveyor of supplies so I know my way around dollar/craft/hobby stores like no other. We were given 3 days each time to invent/reinvent six super crafts to present to first a board of producers then the President of TVO kids for approval. My partner and I created a total of 26 crafts for the show. I instructed the kid Super hero hosts on how to make each of my super crafts. During shooting I would then coach both the kid host and the kid participants (with minor assists if required). It was a mad whirlwind of pressure creativity that I will forever be grateful that I experienced as it pushed my brain to make new ways of thinking.

I am a proud mama to a human and two small dogs. I lived in an off-grid school bus for the winter months in Alberta during the filming of Season One of 'Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock' and never felt more free.

I am humbly proud to say that I am one of the recipients of the 2023-2024 Children & Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Costume Design/Styling for Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock with the other members of the Creature Shop in Calgary, New York and LA.
